ReplyDeleteHere u hv used "EQUAL TO" sign. But actually it is "ALMOST EQUAL TO".
In your 4th line of proof you hv assumed "0.999..." almost equal to x.

DeleteI actually disagree :) I think the proof is legal and yes 0.9999.....(to infinity) does `equals` 1
